Linda is a graduate of the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy and has been licensed to practice massage since 2002. She has been an instructor at the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy. Prior to her massage career, Linda graduated from Maria College and is certified as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Currently, her massage practice focuses primarily on, injury treatment, injury prevention, wellness, and relaxation massage. Linda integrates modalities such as; Active Release Techniques, Swedish Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Facilitated Stretching, Thai Yoga Massage, as well as Traditional Indian Head Massage (an Aryuvedic treatment) to create a massage session that is uniquely customized to her clients needs. She is also has begun a mentorship program for other massage therapsits.
Brian is a graduate of the Center For Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy where he now holds the positions of Director of Career Development and Alumni Services and lead Foundations of Massage instructor. He has had a thriving massage practice since 2005 and specializes in Sports Massage, injury recovery, client education and stress reduction and relaxation.
Brian’s philosophy of massage and the human body can be summed up quite simply as it is the same philosophy his father taught him at a young age “If it is broken, it can be fixed”
Patricia graduated from the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in Albany, N.Y. in November of 2004. Since then, she has been practicing massage therapy for over 5years focusing on a large population of clients with Fibromyalgia. She has furthered her education by completing the medical massage series, so that she can help clients manage pain and stress. She incorporates hot stones on the back and neck in all massages as an added touch. Tricia specializes in Deep Tissue Therapy and continues to improve her skills with continuing her education.
Tricia offers a unique, tranquil setting where she practices massage and spends quality time evaluating before a session and speaking with her client after to gain feedback. She prides herself on excellent work, and being a compassionate practitioner. She takes the time to explain to her client's the benefits and importance of a healthy lifestyle. Massage has been a passion and pleasure for Patricia who believes "massage is not luxury, it’s a necessity."
Jenna is a graduate of The Center for Natural Wellness, school of Massage Therapy. She has been practicing massage for six years. Prior to her career in massage therapy she graduated from Schenectady County Community College with a degree in Culinary Arts.
Jenna offers both Swedish and deep tissue massage. She believes in the multitude of healing benefits, both physically and mentally, that massage therapy can provide. A session is custom fit to the individuals needs at the time. This can include anything from deep tissue bodywork to facilitate healing of an injury, or a fully therapeutic relaxation massage to melt away stress. Jenna loves helping others care for themselves in a non judgmental and compassionate environment.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, cooking and spending time with her husband, children and her pug, Wonton.
Crystal is a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, International Aesthetic Educator, Licensed Medical Aesthetician, Certified Oncology Aesthetician, Certified Laser Specialist, Certified Reflexologist, Certified Skin Pigmentation Artist (cosmetic tattoos) an award winning author of the book "HealTHY Self Beauty." She is a member of the American Academy of Drugless Practitioners, Associated Skin Care Professionals, and holds additional certifications and training from Teachers College, Columbia University and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (Ancillary Provider).
Cyrstal has a holistic approach that looks at the body, mind and spiritual elements combined with lifestyle and nutritional choices and that recognizes that you are a unique individual with unique concerns. She believes that you are what you eat, think, visualize and project. She is a wellness curator, specializing in holistic beauty and nutrition with a modern twist. Leah Rainer, L.Ac is excited to be joining the Bodyworks Wellness Center as an Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist. She is a graduate from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR and is board certified with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is also certified the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) for her extended training working with people who are recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
At your first appointment, expect to spend some extra time talking with Leah about your primary health concern, and to answer questions about your overall health. She will use this information to create a full understanding of your health and how to best work with you, as each treatment is tailored to the individual, not to the illness. Wear comfortable clothes, and feel free to ask any questions you may have!
Elena is a graduate of the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in Albany, NY and specializes in CranioSacral Therapy. She was trained by the Upledger Institute. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Design from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Her practice focuses on using the gentle light-touch techniques of Craniosacral Therapy to help clients find relief from pain and enjoy a better quality of life. Her passion for listening and working with the subtle rhythms of the body brings her great joy and fulfillment in this work.
Bella is a Bichion Frise, born on May 28, 2008 and adopted by Linda on July 23, 2008.
Bella has been a part of The Bodyworks Wellness Center team since its inception. She is with Linda through most sessions. She is a happy, loving, friendly dog. She loves to walk, run, play, get belly rubs, be invited on the table during massage to “assist”, as well as get treats.
